Edoardo Vesentini passed away on March 28, 2020. This Conference is a celebration of his mathematical activity and of the great influence that he has had on the development of complex and differential geometry in Italy and abroad. One lecture will remember the various aspects of his production and the impact of his teaching and promotion of research. The choice of the main speakers is representative of the range of his main mathematical interests and, where possible, of his past personal connections and mentorships.
This Conference also comes at the conclusion of an 8-year cycle of annual workshops on real and complex manifolds, aimed at bridging the different fields of geometry, topology and harmonic analysis and promoting the activity of junior resarchers in these fields. The presence of this perspective in the program is perfectly coherent with the legacy left by Edoardo Vesentini.
Due to persistence of the difficulties caused by covid pandemia, this conference has been first delayed and finally planned in remote modal.
