Venue and Directions

Il Palazzone is located outside the massive ancient town walls of Cortona, and can be reached also by a pleasant walk away from the center of Cortona (about 1,5 Km: you walk from Piazzale Garibaldi on Via Gino Severini and along the way you will find several tourist signs for reaching Il Palazzone).

There are two railway stations in Cortona. The closest, which we warmly recommend, is Camucia Cortona.

How to reach Cortona

By plane: The closest airport is Florence, but for intercontinental flights Rome may be more convenient. Look also into flying to Perugia airport, as it might be a convenient alternative depending on where you come from. Yet another option is Pisa. From there, continue by train.

By Train: The closest railway station is Camucia-Cortona (5 km to center, not to be confused with Terontola-Cortona, which is farther away), on the track from Florence to Rome (one and a half hours from Florence, and two hours from Rome, Siena, or Pisa). The train schedules can be obtained here on the Trenitalia website.

By Bus: (from the train stations: Camucia, Terontola, Arezzo or Castiglion Fiorentino). You can plan your trip on the website of autolinee toscane, while a PDF schedule can be found here
