The closest international airport to the venue is Santiago de Compostela (SCQ). However, it is also possible to fly into A Coruña, Vigo or Madrid and then take a train to Ourense (train tickets can be acquired in the Renfe webpage).
Note that in Madrid trains to Ourense depart from Chamartín - Clara Campoamor Station, which is easily accessible from Madrid Airport via the Cercanías local train (departing from Terminal 4).
Since the workshop begins on 01 June , we kindly ask you to plan your arrival for 31 May. We are organizing a shuttle bus that will collect participants from both Santiago de Compostela Airport and Ourense train station, and take them directly to the venue. To facilitate this, please arrange your travel so as to be in Santiago Airport at latest at 19:00, or in Ourense train station no later than 20:00.
A return shuttle will also be available in the morning of 06 June. In this case we advice you to book your train tickets from Ourense at earliest at 10:30 and flights from Santiago no earlier than 12:30.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could inform us of your arrival and departure times as soon as they are confirmed, so we can adjust the shuttle schedule accordingly. In particular, if most participants arriving at Santiago Airport land well before 18:00, we may be able to schedule the bus earlier, avoiding unnecessary waiting times.
