Citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area, and other Schengen Area countries do not require a visa to enter Italy, and may do so using their passport or a valid National Identity Card.
Citizens of certain non-Schengen countries (e.g. UK and Japan) may enter Italy for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period) without a visa, provided they hold a valid passport.
Citizens of countries not falling into the previous categories are required to obtain a visa prior to travel to Italy.
Participants are strongly advised to check the specific requirements for their nationality using the portal provided by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
