    The 2026 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics was recently awarded to the Muon g-2 Collaborations from CERN, BNL, and Fermilab for their high-precision measurements of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon (a_mu = (g – 2)/2) spanning six decades.
